Ono-ha Ittō-ryū has continued for more than 450 years ceaselessly from the father, Ito Ittosai Kagehisa and the founder, Ono Jiroemon Tada-aki. Durinig the Edo era as the Hatamoto status Ono-ha Ittō-ryū Sōke was the Kenjutsu Instructor to the Shogun.

The late 17th Sōke, Sasamori Takemi taught Ono-ha Ittō-ryū's ultimate goal is to prevent conflictAto merge with our adversaries and to be well-rounded. Also he embodied his teachings in his daily life. We want to follow and live up to our late Sōke's teachings, and contribute to global peace.

I am pleased when more people understand the essence of Kobudo.
